What we are looking for
We are looking to continue scaling our growth in the UK, US and further afield, by building a team of extraordinary people who thrive on making an extraordinary impact.
As part of our Growth Team, the eCommerce Product Manager plays a key role in developing the online business, helping set the vision and drive the mechanics of our eCommerce and Growth discipline.
The eCommerce Product Manager reports directly to our eCommerce Director, Jonny (ex allplants, Waldo, Oddbox and former growth consultant), supported by our Marketing Director, Sophie (former Brand & Marketing Director at Papier & Glassette).
Who you are
You are hands-on with a combination of customer obsession, strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and strong execution skills to create delightful experiences for our customers.
You’ve already worked in the depths of a Shopify store, understand the value of a good proposition and offer vs a discount, and understand basic html/css.
You’re comfortable with continuous change while working in a high-tempo environment as we grow. Bring your eye for process and experimental rigour, and we’ll test and learn our way to the top!
We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial, who’s on a mission to scale, learn, develop and grow themselves in order to do your best work, and then fly (a la LinkedIn’s Tour Of Duty approach).
Responsibilities
Unlock growth opportunities:
- Spearhead initiatives to optimise the user journey and our customer purchase experience based on data insights
- Own onsite conversion and monetisation to support our CVR & AOV metrics
- Identify growth opportunities, develop innovative product initiatives, and implement data-driven experiments to improve key metrics
- Drive customer acquisition, activation and retention alongside the performance marketing team
Lead our eCommerce Trading Activity:
- Make the most of key marketing dates with propositions and campaigns
- Ideate and define the sales and promotions strategy throughout the year
Manage our website (Shopify):
- Work with our external agency to improve the experience and implement new features
- Work with our internal team for product config, feature and information management
Requirements
- Proven track record of developing and executing a comprehensive product-led growth strategy, especially in resource-constrained environments
- Superb analytical abilities and cross-functional collaboration skills to drive initiatives across various teams including engineering, marketing and customer success
- Possess a hacker mentality with structured problem-solving skills, emphasising creativity and the ability to break down ambiguous problems into solvable components
- Be the “growth expert” across the company, from working with product analytics to experimentation
- Use data to make decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis and find a way to know what our customers are thinking
- Take initiative and set a rapid pace of execution, taking ownership of optimising business performance throughout the funnel, independently developing solutions to problems
- Equally important is attitude. We want people who think big (to make an impact), ask why (to find a better way), and show respect (to everyone, at every level, all the time).
- 2+ years experience in a growth/marketing/product role
What we can offer you
- Salary: £55,000 + Bonus
- A flexible, hybrid working model.
- 24 days holiday, plus bank holidays
- An extra 3% of your gross salary for learning & development
- Annual Summer Retreat (last year we spent 2 days at 42 Acres!)
- Team Discount: £500 of Elizabeth Scarlett products per year with 60% off & a Personal Code with 25% discount for family & friends
Interview steps
- Preliminary phone call with our People & Culture Manager (no video required)
- First video interview with eCom Director, including a brief response to a task
- Second video interview with our Marketing Director, followed by a valuable conversation with members of the wider team.
