Elizabeth Scarlett is seeking to appoint a Strategic Finance Analyst to expand their strategic planning team. You’d be owning the way we forecast and report the performance of the business, for a fast-growing lifestyle and accessories brand scaling profitably and philanthropically to £30M in sales over the next 2 years.
This is a senior role reporting to the Finance Director with visibility to the Board, offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy, optimize performance, and support our ambitious expansion as we grow in the UK, US, and EU.
This position is ideal for an ambitious analytically-minded builder looking to step into a role with genuine influence. You’ll oversee FP&A while driving key initiatives such as OKRs and business performance reporting. 💰 Salary: £60,000 - 70,000 + bonus

Sounds great, what will I be doing? 🤔
1. Own the FP&A & OKR cadences
- Build and maintain our financial planning and analysis cadenc
- Develop robust financial models for the P&L, cash flow, and unit economics across UK and US markets
- Partner with leadership and teams to develop, track and refine OKRs — ensuring alignment between strategic goals and operational execution
- Create variance analysis and actionable insights on performance vs. plan and OKR progress
2. Drive Strategic Analysis & Decision Making
- Be the analytical powerhouse behind key strategic projects: market expansion, pricing strategy, customer acquisition economics, new product launches, and more
- Use SQL and BigQuery to extract insights from our data warehouse, connecting financial outcomes to operational drivers
- Build frameworks and dashboards that enable leadership to make faster, data-informed decisions
- Present clear, compelling recommendations to the leadership team and beyond
3. Tell Stories Through Data
- Go deep into customer cohorts, product performance, marketing spend efficiency, and operational metrics
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities before they become obvious
- Translate complex financial and operational data into simple, actionable insights
- Partner with Growth, Commercial, and Operations teams to optimize performance across the business
4. Enable Better Processes & Decision Making with AI
- Champion the adoption of AI tools to enhance financial analysis, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Experiment with emerging AI technologies to automate repetitive tasks and unlock new insights from both financial and non-financial data
- Build and refine processes that leverage data and technology to help teams make better decisions, faster
- Stay ahead of the curve on how AI can transform finance and analytics in a scaling eCommerce business
5. Build for Scale
- Develop KPI frameworks and financial reporting infrastructure that will scale with the business
- Implement best practices for financial modeling, forecasting accuracy, and data integrity
- Act as the go-to finance partner for strategic questions across the organization
- As we grow, help shape the future finance and analytics team

What does the ideal hire look like? 🧳
Mindset: You have a strong analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity and a bias toward experimentation. You're excited about how AI and emerging tools can transform finance and operations. You're equally comfortable building a financial model and writing SQL queries to investigate a trend. You balance attention to detail with swift execution — we need to move quickly AND get it right.
Skills (Must-haves):
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting capabilities (Excel/Google Sheets wizard)
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with data warehouses (BigQuery experience is a plus)
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems
- Outstanding communication skills - you can explain complex concepts simply and compellingly
- Comfortable experimenting with AI tools to enhance productivity and analysis
Skills (Nice-to-haves):
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Shopify, or other consumer eCommerce platforms
- Experience in consumer products / DTC eCommerce environments
Experience: 2-4 years in a finance, strategy, or analytical role. Backgrounds we value include: investment banking, management consulting, FP&A at high-growth companies, or strategic finance roles at consumer/eCommerce businesses.
