As our first Strategic Finance Associate, you’ll sit at the intersection of finance, strategy, and data — helping us make smarter, faster decisions as we scale a purpose-driven consumer brand growing at 50%+ year-on-year.
💰 Salary: £60,000–£70,000 + discretionary bonus (up to 10%)
🙋♀️ Reporting to: Finance Director
📍 Location: Potters Bar (24-min train from Kings Cross)
🏙️ Hybrid: 2 days per week at HQ (or more, if you wish!)

This is a pivotal hire — our first dedicated Strategic Finance role. You’ll help shape the systems, analysis, and insights that fuel profitable, mission-driven growth across the UK and US.
This is your chance to:
- Build and own the FP&A, OKR and analytics cadences that guide our business.
- Partner directly with leadership, turning data into strategy.
- Help us grow efficiently while driving our £2M conservation mission.
What you’ll be doing 🚀
1. Own the FP&A & OKR Cadences
- Build and maintain the financial planning and analysis rhythm across the business.
- Develop robust financial models for P&L, cash flow, and unit economics (UK + US).
- Partner with leadership to set, track and refine OKRs that align strategic goals with execution.
- Deliver variance analysis and actionable insights on performance versus plan.
2. Drive Strategic Analysis & Decision-Making
- Act as the analytical powerhouse behind strategic projects: market expansion, pricing, customer acquisition economics, and product launches.
- Use SQL and BigQuery to extract and connect insights between operational drivers and financial outcomes.
- Build frameworks and dashboards that enable leadership to make faster, data-driven decisions.
- Present clear, compelling recommendations across teams.
3. Tell Stories Through Data
- Analyse customer cohorts, product performance, marketing efficiency, and operational metrics.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities before they surface.
- Translate complex data into simple, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Partner with Growth, Commercial and Operations teams to optimise performance.
4. Enable Better Processes & Decision-Making with AI
- Champion AI tools to enhance financial analysis, forecasting, and productivity.
- Experiment with emerging AI technologies to automate and uncover new insights.
- Refine processes that leverage data and technology for better, faster decisions.
- Stay ahead of the curve on how AI transforms finance in scaling eCommerce.
5. Build for Scale
- Develop KPI frameworks and financial reporting infrastructure for long-term growth.
- Implement best practices for forecasting, modelling and data integrity.
- Act as the go-to finance partner for strategic questions across the organisation.
- Help shape the future Finance and Analytics team as we grow.

Must-have skills
- Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills (Excel/Google Sheets wizard).
- Proficiency in SQL; experience with data warehouses (BigQuery ideal).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems.
- Outstanding communication — you simplify complex ideas for all audiences.
- Comfort experimenting with AI tools for analysis and automation.
Nice-to-have skills
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Shopify, or similar eCommerce platforms.
- Experience in consumer products or DTC eCommerce.
Experience
- 2–4 years in a finance, strategy, or analytical role.
- Backgrounds we value: investment banking, management consulting, FP&A at high-growth companies, or strategic finance in consumer/eCommerce businesses.
